'Star Wars: Battlefront' Beta Release Date: Multiplayer Beta Set to Launch Next Month - Everything You Need To Know

For "Star Wars: Battlefront" players who cannot wait to fight in the cold and frozen plains of Hoth and enjoy the multiplayer mode, do not worry because the title will be arriving soon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Electronic Arts will be launching "Star Wars: Battlefront" in beta version next month. The beta is released as a "technical test" and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin for PC.

In EA's official blog, they announced that beta participation requires internet connection and acceptance of the beta agreement. It's a prerelease software that may contain errors or defects without warranty.

The gameplay will feature two missions, which includes "Walker Assault on Hoth" and "Survival Mission on Tattoine."

"Walker Assault on Hoth" is a 40-player battle that includes Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader as two of its playable characters. On the other hand, if one choose to play the "Survival Mission on Tattoine," the gamer has the option to play it alone or with a friend.

Aside from the two aforementioned missions, the beta release will also feature a brand new mode called "Drop Zone." Unfortunately, there are no details for the said mode at the moment. According to EA, they will be sharing more details about the new mode in the coming weeks.

IGN reports that Star Wars Battlefront Companion will also be featured in beta. EA revealed that Companion features the strategic card game Base Command. With Companion, one can earn in-game credits that can unlock Star Cards, weapons and more.

It also allows Rebels and Imperials to check their game stats and progression, customize load-outs and appearance, connect with friends and get notifications. Moreover, gamers can gather intel on their stats and progression to check how they match up. The Star Wars Battlefront Companion will be released on Nov. 17 in iOs, Android and web.

However, whatever the gamers experience or gathered in the beta, it will remain as is and will not be carried over in the main game. In their blog, EA wrote: "gameplay progress, achievements, characters, character data, and/or any other value or status indicators achieved through gameplay in the beta will not transfer to Star Wars Battlefront main game or Star Wars Battlefront Companion."

EA stressed that they will be giving more information about "Star Wars: Battlefront" in the coming weeks. Gamers who wanted to keep themselves updated are encouraged to check their page from time time, sign-up to their news letter and follow them on their social media accounts.
