‘Overwatch’ Winter Wonderland Christmas Event Coming To A Close But Blizzard Has Another Surprise For Players

Christmas has gone by and "Overwatch" Winter Wonderland Christmas event is about to come to a close. Blizzard's holiday event kicked off last Dec. 13 and is slated to run until Jan. 2, but the exact time as to when the event will end has not yet been confirmed. Fans shouldn't worry as Blizzard has something special in store.

If you want to grab and open those loot boxes, you better hurry as Blizzard's event for its team-based shooter game is about to commence. Since the "Overwatch" Halloween and Summer Games events both ended on their respective scheduled time and date, then probably the Winter Wonderland Christmas event will also end at the same time the previously mentioned events did.

espite the "Overwatch" Winter Wonderland Christmas event coming to a close, fans are still expecting more bonuses. Well, they are not far off. Fortunately, Blizzard is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the game that started it all, "Diablo." And "Overwatch" is one of the active titles from Blizzard who will take part in the in-game celebration.

In-game sprays representing the varying "Diablo" classes will hit "Overwatch" players. A new player icon resembling the Lord of Terror will be seen in "Overwatch." This is a hefty treat as the Winter Wonderland Christmas event closes.

Other active Blizzard titles will also be participating in the 20th anniversary of "Diablo." This includes of course "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls," "Heroes of the Storm," "World of Warcraft," "Hearthstone," and "StarCraft II." "Diablo III' will have the biggest event called "The Darkening of Tristram."
