Stimulation Can Help Babies Learn And Develop Habits Faster

It is a common belief among parents that babies should not be burdened with learning more things than they can and that they have their own certain pace at which they should be allowed to learn things and develop. These include rolling out on their own and standing up before learning to properly and safely support their weight.

New parents do not think that it is right to give the kids a helping hand in order to boost their development pace. A recent study by a professor at a renowned university and research center in the United States stated that this belief dates back to the 1990s when the presumption was prevalent that babies' activities and learning speed were not dependent on environmental factors but in genes, according to Parents.

However, it has now been revealed that this is not the case. Babies do not only grow naturally but they also learn by outside influences. An example of learning languages was quoted to show that children learn languages not simply on their own but by interacting with others. It was further suggested that kindergarten can be a good booster for these learning activities.

According to News-Medical, with new knowledge about medicine and technology, various activities and learning of the children can now be linked to the brain and its different parts. This helps researchers understand how stimulation can help speed up the process of learning.

Some children, however, have special needs and they must not be rushed into the process of development. It was also added that parents should slightly aid their children in their development, instead of not giving a helping hand in fear of retarding their growth. Remember, healthy children can use some help to learn faster.
