Tequila Works ‘Rime’ Is Back With A Re-Released Trailer; Game Coming To Switch, Xbox One And PC

After relatively disappearing for a couple of years, the Indie game "Rime" has resurfaced with a new teaser trailer. First unveiled at Gamescom in 2013, the action-adventure puzzle game is not anymore Sony exclusive. The game from Tequila Works is slated for a May 2017 release and will be available for most major platforms.

Tequila Works, the game developer behind "Deadlight," first showcased the intriguing puzzle game "Rime" during the Gamescom 2013 and it was then only exclusive to PlayStation 4. However, right after its initial unveiling, the game plunged into rumors that it will soon be cancelled.

With only a few days since 2017 was welcomed by many, Tequila Works announced that they have bought the full rights to the game from Sony. The game will be published by Grey Box and Six Foot. "Rime" will be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, and also PS4, per Forbes. In fact, "Rime" is one of the few titles confirmed that will be part of Nintendo's latest console, Switch.

Looking at the re-revealed teaser trailer reminds you of "The Last Guardian" and "Zelda," with its seemingly cartoonish design and soft musical undertones. "Rime" is about a boy who is part of a shipwreck and ended up on the coast of an island. This single-player game is filled with puzzles and adventures where players must "navigate the island's secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective, and even time," as described by Tequila Works according to a report by IGN.

In other Nintendo news, alongside "Rime," other confirmed game titles that will be included in Nintendo Switch includes "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and "Stardew Valley." Fans will have to wait for the new console from Nintendo to find out its graphical capabilities, since it is still a mystery.

More details regarding the action-adventure puzzle game from Tequila Works will be soon released as the due date nears. Stay tuned for more details and also check out the re-released trailer below.
