Kim Kardashian Baby News: Expectant Mom Works Out Up To 4 Times A Week —Get Her Exercise Routines!

The "Keeping up with the Kardashian" star Kim Kardashian has gained weight again now that she is pregnant, which usually happens to expectant moms. However, this time the extra pounds were not as much as those she gained on her first pregnancy.

For those wondering what the reality star does, she exercises. While people rarely see her on her workout outfit, it doesn't really follow that the star is in a sedentary lifestyle. She engaged to pretty intense workout throughout her pregnancy up to four times a week with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, according to OK! Magazine.

Hollywood Life had the chance to speak with Pasternak as well and they learned that although Kim exercises a lot, she does not engage in a full-on workout routine. "At this point it's very limited," an insider disclosed. "She is chasing North around for most of her workouts and she walks a lot around the house." Harley, who also trained other celebrity moms like Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson and Megan Fox when they were pregnant, confirmed that Kim was doing right.

According to Harley, pregnancy should not stop one from moving, and one should aim to keep on moving. "It's actually a difficult pregnancy if you don't move. Keep your body moving and stay in a well ventilated place," he added.

As for what routines expectant mom should shy away, the celebrity trainer said: "No Bikrim Yoga while pregnant, no heart rate above 140 beats per minute, and starting midway through the second trimester, you want to avoid exercises being completely on your back."

Harley told OK! Magazine that Kim has been working out prior to getting pregnant to keep in shape and to ensure that she won't be gaining the extra 65 pounds she did on her first pregnancy. For those wondering if North's mom uses a machine, Harley revealed that she uses a Helix Lateral Trainer, which is similar to elliptical. The said machine is popular among female clients because with it, they can tone their butts, abductors and glutes in a lateral way.

Aside from working out, Harley advised Kim to only take an extra 300 calories in case she feels the urge to overeat. The expectant mom confessed earlier that on her first pregnancy, she ate doughnut every day. It seems that Kim does not engage to the same style of overeating because she looks fabulous.

Harley is encouraging pregnant moms to push themselves and to keep on moving. "Your body needs it, it's good for the baby. It is good for delivery and recovery. That is the key to make it work for Mom's before and after pregnancy," he said.
