Despite their apprehensions about the DNA test, Carley and Mercedes revealed in another TikTok video that they proceeded with a home DNA test kit, but they won't know the results until a few weeks. The couple also wondered if kissing each other would have an impact on the results because their DNA is in each other's saliva.

Followers Already Convinced They Are Sisters

However, thousands of their followers are already convinced that they are sisters because Carley and Mercedes have a lot of physical similarities. One follower said that the first time he saw the couple, he has always maintained that they looked related.

The discussion then escalated about whether Carley and Mercedes should still be together if their DNA tests prove they are half-sisters. Some followers believed there shouldn't be anything wrong if they still romantically love each other.

"They [can't] procreate so it wouldn't be harmful to any child they have should they choose to," one commenter wrote, according to Daily Mail.

However, a few followers pointed out that, regardless if they can't have kids or not, an incestuous relationship between relatives is illegal in Canada, where the couple lives. Some of their followers also said that Carley and Mercedes do not seem to have any issues with it, even if they have said they are scared to know the truth.

The couple didn't fill in on the other details about their mothers' dating life or how they discovered they dated the same guy. Thus, some followers think this might be a stunt to get more views. The couple keeps an OnlyFans account where they have more daring videos and photos of each other.

Meanwhile, another half-sister discovery sprung a surprise for a former "Bachelorette" star. A year ago, Ali Fedotowsky-Manno, said that she did not know about Tonya when she took a DNA test to learn more about her grandmother, Molly.

Tonya's name did pop up as a "Close Relative" on her DNA profile, but she disregarded this as a cousin. She didn't investigate until Tonya got in touch with her, per People. Before making contact, Tonya said that she checked Ali's name on Google and discovered a lot of nonsense about her "Bachelorette" stint on television.

Ali said that even if Tonya was not a sibling, she is the kind of person she'll want to have in her life because she's "funny, laid-back, down to earth." Ali also said that she had always wanted to have a big family, and now Tonya is her wish come true.
