'Fifty Shades Darker' Dakota Johnson, Boyfriend Matthew Hitt Break Up Confirmed? Jamie Dornan Cause Of Split

"Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson is flying solo nowadays. At the recent People's Choice Awards, her on-again, off-again boyfriend Matthew Hitt is nowhere in sight, further fueling break up rumors.

According to Youth Health magazine, Johnson and Hitt decided to end their relationship following the success of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Insiders claim that the musician was not at all happy with his girlfriend taking such a risqué role as Anastasia Steele. Her undeniable chemistry with onscreen partner Jamie Dornan also did not help with his jealousy issues.

Speaking to Ellen, back in September, Johnson admitted that being part of the "Fifty Shades" franchise scared off any potential love interest.

"I guess they're scared of me. They either love me or they're running for the hills...Mostly running for the hills," Johnson explained.

She added that it was a bit awkward whenever people come up to her and talk about "Fifty Shades of Grey" and "Fifty Shades Darker." Johnson admitted that even her own family have yet to see the racy film.

Johnson's hard work seemed to be paying off. The actress have several films lined up including "Suspiria" and her hilarious film with Rebel Wilson "How to Be Single."

When she won the award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress at the recent People's Choice Award for "Fifty Shades of Grey," Johnson said that she was just happy to be even nominated. In her acceptance speech, she also thanked Dornan and said that she could not have gotten the award without him.

In other news, 2016 may just be a good year for Johnson, romantically. According to Radar Online, Johnson was recently spotted making out with Heidi Klum's ex-boyfriend Vito Schnabel. Although it has yet to be confirmed if things are over between Johnson and Hit, insiders believed that the actress is ready to move on.
