Is Angelina Jolie dead? According to a crude hoax that is making the rounds on Facebook, she is.  A nasty viral blurb may appear on your timeline which states that Angelina Jolie died on August 23, 2013 after "her second major operation."

Angelina Jolie fans may rest assured that this sultry actress is alive and well. Jolie is in fact, currently in Damascus doing humanitarian work there with child refugees.

The Facebook page claiming that Angelina Jolie is dead has drawn widespread attention. The page has already received more than one million likes and fans immediately began writing heartfelt condolences, believing that the 38-year-old actress was really dead. At the time of publishing, the Facebook page has been taken down.

Should you come across the "Angelina Jolie dies at 38 - 1975-2013" blurb on you Facebook timeline, delete it immediately and be sure to not click on any of its links. The link opens up to an app which asks you for permission to allow the app to access your profile and will begin posting on facebook under your account.

Jolie's representative confirmed that "she's not dead, she's still alive and well." Adding: "stop believing what you see on the Internet."

Angelina Jolie is rumored to be marrying long-time fiance and father of her children - Brad Pitt - this weekend over Labor Day, sources tell OK! Magazine. The couple are reportedly in the final planning stages for their big day and are set to tie the knot in Los Angeles in the next few weeks.
