Sugar does not only heighten the risk of obesity but it also increasing the risk of diabetes, hyperactivity, and intensifies ADD. Despite the fact that sugar greatly affects the body in a negative way, American children however consume a high amount of sugar as part of their daily diet, according to Washington Post. Sugar calories are the worst, because they turn to fat in the liver, driving insulin resistance, and driving risk for diabetes, heart and liver disease, this has enormous implications for the food industry, chronic disease and health care costs."

In line with the battle against high sugar consumption, a team of researchers from the University of California and Touro recruited 43 participants aged 9 to 18. The study came up with an astounding result wherein the rapid changes on the participants overall health ended up on a positive note. In just 10 days after sugar was removed from the children's diet, it was revealed that their blood pressure dropped, and their glucose tolerance and the amount of insulin on their blood flow stabilized.
