‘Outlander’ Stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe Shares Details About their Relationship: Are they a Couple?

"Outlander" Season 2 will see the return of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, as their respective characters, Jamie and Claire head over to France to stop the Jacobite Rising. In a recent interview, the Starz time traveler series actors share details about their relationship. Are they a couple?

"Outlander" stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan recently grazed the cover of Entertainment Weekly's new issue. The spread also featured some of the highlights of the publication's interview with the stars.

In the said interview, Balfe and Heughan revealed what makes their relationship work in front of the cameras.

"She's just wonderful. We're very good friends," said Heughan when asked about his thoughts on Balfe.

Balfe, on the other hand, admitted that she and Heughan share similar personalities.

"We like to work hard and we have quite a silly side to our personalities. We like to goof around," she said.

This can be seen as true in Balfe and Heughan's interview. In the recently released clip from Starz, both "Outlander" Season 2 stars can be seen laughing and making fun of each other.

Carter Matt shared the clip of Balfe and Heughan answering questions gathered on Twitter from fans and viewers of the hit Starz series. In one of the questions, Balfe and Heughan were asked who would get voted off if they would be joining the series, "Survivor."

Heughan immediately answered that Balfe "would get voted off straight away." He was quick to make it up to his "Outlander" co-star, however, and said that she was an "alpha female" and therefore, would be a "stiff competition" for others.

Balfe and Heughan's great relationship in front of and behind the cameras may be the reason why both stars remain plagued by countless dating rumors. Rumors previously claimed to have spotted the two flirting on set, but no photos were taken to prove the said claim.
