'Frozen 2' Release Date, News & Update: Sequel Confirmed, Olaf Could Turn Human, Anna & Elsa Not Sisters?

After a long wait, fans of "Frozen" can now be at ease knowing that a "Frozen 2" is already underway. Disney has confirmed the news and is keeping mum about the film's details, but several rumors have been pointing towards some very interesting things with Olaf the snowman, and sisters Anna and Elsa.

More Olaf?

Rumors have suggested that Olaf will be getting more screen time in "Frozen 2," thanks to the overwhelming popularity he received from "Frozen" fans during the first installment's success.

But it gets even better: the additional screentime for Olaf might possibly to give his character arc more room to explore. According to Ecumenical News, Olaf might be getting a love interest in "Frozen 2," although it remains unknown if that person is another snowman, or a human.

Anna & Her Superpowers

Speculations revolving around Anna suggest that she would be getting her own superpowers as well. Reports claim that Anna will find out that she is adopted, thus turning her into the villain for "Frozen 2."

However, "Frozen 2" writers and directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee had already clarified in an interview with HitFix that Anna already has a superpower, albeit it might not be what people are expecting.

"Her superpower is love," said Chris Buck. "That's Anna's superpower." Jennifer Lee added, "You know, like a mama bear can raise a car off their kid with their super strength, love very powerful."

Perhaps Anna's love could possibly turn Olaf into human and make his dreams come true? It's highly probable, especially is Disney makes Olaf pursue a human love interest in the "Frozen" sequel.

Anna & Elsa: Not Sisters?

Many theorists have claimed that Anna and Elsa aren't biological sisters - because Elsa is said to be the sister of Rapunzel. Which really makes sense, since "Tangled" Easter Eggs are known to have been found in the first "Frozen" film.

According to Christian Post, Elsa and Rapunzel are believed to be twins separated at birth (taking note of their features and powers) after Rapunzel was held hostage for her magical hair. The King and Queen of Corona had Elsa sent to Arandelle for protection.

Although these storylines could be of great potential for the movie, no details have yet been confirmed. Stay tuned to see which "Frozen 2" rumors were accurate from the start!

"Frozen 2" release date is slated for 2018.
