'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date & News Update: Title Includes a Multiplayer Mode; Will Arrive This Year?

"Red Dead Redemption" fans are already very excited with the game's next iteration. However, at the time nothing is confirmed yet when the anticipated game "Red Dead Redemption 2" will arrive.

Well, according to new reports the game is set to arrive soon.

The hype about "Red Dead Redemption 2" continues to grow as we near this year's E3. Parent Herald previously reported that "Red Dead Redemption 2" would be unveiled at the said event.

Per CrossMap, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be released in the last quarter of the year. The game is expected to arrive in October. Aside from this, the report suggested that it would arrive with multiplayer mode.

Before "Red Dead Redemption 2" was officially announced, the title already made headlines after two of its previous employers leaked it.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, Danny Ross and AnonDN1978 shared that the game is coming out.

One fan asked Ross what can they expect from Rockstar, where he responded with "Really? Dumbass. Really? Two." However, many were quick to read between the lines and assumed that it meant "Read Dead Redemption 2."

Meanwhile, AnonDN1978, a former developer from Rockstar claimed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been in development for almost four years already. He also shared that the upcoming game will be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West," WCCF Tech reported.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is already confirmed.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that they are very selective with their game. They recognize that fans want better games, not more games. Although some of their titles will eventually lose its popularity the others are permanent and this includes "Red Dead Redemption 2" per VG 24/7.

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It's obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others," he said.

If reports are true, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be available this year.
