'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News & Update: Rockstar Games Will Announce the Title's Release Date At E3 2016 [Rumors]

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is among the anticipated games in the video games world. The rumor mills have been reporting that the next iteration of "Red Dead Redemption" is on the works, yet Rockstar Games remain stern on keeping things under wrap.

However, it appears that the team is finally ready to divulge some crucial details about the upcoming title.

In an interview with MCV, CEO Strauss Zelnick shared some details about their upcoming projects and eSports plan for this year. Zelnick did not mention anything about "Red Dead Redemption" but when prompted about the game he teased that fans should look forward to E3.

"We will be there in a big way," Zelnick said.

Zelnick's statement gave hope to fans that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be arriving soon.

Parent Herald previously reported that there have been talks about the title for quite some time now. Two previous Rockstar employers leaked that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in the works.

In a Reddit trail, one listener asked Danny Ross what fans could expect from Rockstar Games and the Rockstar Game ex-employee answered with "Really? Dumbass. Really? Two" to which many fans believed pertained to "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Meanwhile, WCCF Tech reported that another Reddit member and ex-developer from Rockstar, named AnonDN1978 also confirmed that the anticipated game is in development. He even revealed that it will be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West" and added that it is a prequel to "Red Dead Redemption."

AnonDN1978 also shared that two main characters, namely Seth and Irish will join "Red Dead Redemption 2." The former is a bank teller at Kansas City while the latter is brought up in Ireland but decided to move in the United States when he is 15.

For those who are interested about "Red Dead Redemption 2," E3 2016 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, from June 14 to June 16. Registration for attendees and exhibitors are already ongoing.
