Donald Trump News: Why Celebrities Would Abandon America If Donald Trump Wins The 2016 US Presidential Elections?

Would you leave the United States if Donald Trump wins the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections? Well, you are not alone because there are some celebrities who have vowed to leave America if the 69-year-old real estate magnate wins the race.

Donald Trump is no stranger to the U.S. presidential race. Trump first campaigned in the 2000 U.S. Presidential Elections but he took the world by surprise when he announced his candidacy for the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections last June as a Republican nominee.

Trump immediately became known for his opposition to illegal immigration and free trade agreements. Donald Trump also causes a stir through his frequent non-interventionist views on foreign policy but he emerged as the Republican nomination front-runner who has won 21 contests in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries.

Not all Americans, however, are in favor of Donald Trump to become the next president. Even Hollywood stars have divided political opinions but a few prominent figures have promised that they will leave America if Trump becomes president and some of them are listed below.

Samuel L. Jackson

If Donald Trump becomes president, "The Hateful Eight" actor will leave America. But where will he go? Well, he's going to South Africa, The Independent notes.

"If that mother-er becomes president, I'm moving my black ass to South Africa."

Miley Cyrus

Following Donald Trump's victory in seven out of 11 states on Super Tuesday (Mar. 1), Miley Cyrus announced on Instagram that she will ditch the U.S. if Trump wins the elections. The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker also called Trump a "f-cking nightmare," Breitbart reports.

Whoopi Goldberg

Aside from Jackson and Cyrus, actress Whoopi Goldberg also expressed her desires to leave the United States if Donald Trump becomes president. The actress-comedienne made the announcement during an episode of "The View" in January.

"Listen, he can be whatever party he wants to be," Goldberg said. "What he can't be is he can't be the guy that says it's your fault stuff isn't working. That's not the president I want. Find a way to make stuff work. Maybe it's time for me to move, you know. I can afford to go."

Others celebrities who also vowed to leave the United States if Donald Trump wins the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections include George Lopez, Al Sharpton, Jon Stewart, Eddie Griffin, Cher, Raven-Symone, Randy Blythe and Neve Campbell. While Campbell and Raven-Symone plan to go to Canada, Cher will go to Jupiter.
