Just when Rossi was ready to spend the day with his grandson and son-in-law, he received a surprise visit from someone he never expected to see. His ex-wife came up and interrupted his day. It was an awkward scene knowing that she, didn't tell Rossi they had a daughter for 29 years. What made things worse was when Rossi found out and reached out to her, she just ignored his calls and texts.

Their awkward encounter in the last "Criminal Minds" season 11 episode turned to forgiveness and understanding. Hayden took Ross's words that nothing would come between him and his job, that's why she decided not to tell the truth and he chose to respect and understand her.
