'UFC 200' News and Updates: Dana White Reveals the Reason Conor McGregor Was Pulled From His Main Event Fight With Nick Diaz

UFC fans were baffled upon hearing that one of the biggest MMA fighters, Conor McGregor, announced his early retirement on Twitter. Though McGregor didn't state the main reason, UFC president, Dana White revealed the main reason McGregor won't be fighting for "UFC 200."

McGregor was set to fight for "UFC 200" where he will go against one of his major opponents, Nate Diaz. According to UFC, McGregor announced his early retirement, but did not reiterate the reason. With all the speculations that surfaced in regards to his early retirement, White broke his silence and decided to shed a light for the "UFC" fight fans.

White officially announced on Tuesday that McGregor has been pulled out from his fight with Diaz for "UFC 200" on July 9. She also told the press that McGregor was pulled out of the fight card because he refused to participate in press conferences involving "UFC 200."

Craziest Sports Fights then added that the conflict between White and McGregor is one of the main reasons for his early retirement. During his interview with ESPN, White told the press that he respects McGregor's early retirement, but he needs to respect UFC's policies too.

"Obviously we still have a good relationship with Conor," White told the reporters. "I respect Conor as a fighter and I like him as a person. But you can't decide not to show up to these things. You have to do it."

In addition to his statement, White then added that McGregor was not able to show up during the press conference as he was busy training in Ireland. White stated that McGregor does not want to ruin his preparation for his fight with Diaz, thus he refused to show up.

Now that McGregor was pulled out of the fight card, "UFC 200" will be having a different main event. Diaz will still be fighting, but White and the rest of the organizers are still looking for a perfect match against Nate him.
