"Pitch Perfect" actor Skylar Astin isn't sure if he's returning in the film's third offering, even if he has been an integral part of the first two movies. Meanwhile, Rebel Wilson's weight loss goals has had success, but what could this mean for Fat Amy on "Pitch Perfect 3?"

Skylar Astin, who plays Becca's boyfriend Jesse in the "Pitch Perfect" series, admitted he still has to receive a call about coming back for "Pitch Perfect 3." He signified interest of reprising his role, but as far as he knows it, the script has not yet been written.

"If the script was written and they knew what my role was completely and they were deciding to not let me in on it, that would be strange," he said per Wonderwall. Skylar Astin, who describes his relationship with the producers of "Pitch Perfect 3" as "great," believes he will get the call from them soon.

"This process [of signing on for a sequel] is such a long one -- and I've been through it before between the first and the second movies," Skylar Astin said. In the meantime, Skylar Astin is in the midst of preparing for this big wedding with "Pitch Perfect" co-star Anna Camp. The two are set to marry in the fall, as Parent Herald previously reported.

Meanwhile, another "Pitch Perfect" star, Rebel Wilson, has been keeping busy with a fitness retreat. The actress has been going to the gym regularly for some months now.

On Monday, the Australian actress shared on her Instagram that she's making progress. Rebel Wilson declared that she lost eight pounds after joining a marathon hike over a four-day period.

Rebel Wilson became memorable on "Pitch Perfect" because, aside from her talent, her weight became the fodder for jokes. As fans of the movies know, her character, Fat Amy, made no qualms about using her size as a punchline.

But with her fitness and workout taking flight, will producers be incorporating Rebel Wilson's physical changes in "Pitch Perfect 3" as well? Will Fat Amy be called as simply Amy, or her real name - Patricia?

While filming has yet to officially start, the cast of "Pitch Perfect" are seen getting together on their own. Recently, some of them graced the red carpet during the MTV Awards. They will also be at the wedding of Skylar Astin and Anna Camp in the fall.
