Xbox One Slim Specs, Release News & Update: 'Second Generation' Image Leaks; New Console Coming To E3?

It looks like Microsoft is making a new Xbox One console after all and image leaks to the "second generation" machine are online. The tech company is said to have been working on this since February 2016 and Microsoft is expected to present this at the E3 event in Los Angeles this June.

Thurrott reports that Microsoft will announce a new XBox One, believed to be the Xbox One Slim, during the company's E3 press event. Inside sources told the news outlet that apart from a new Xbox hardware, there will also be a new Xbox standard controller for the existing Xbox One.

Xbox One Slim Spec And Production Details

The Xbox One Slim has apparently been in production since February, where 1.2 million a month have already been produced. The leak comes from the gamer forum NeoGaf and the production has been codenamed as "Xbox One Second Generation" or "Xbox One Two."

Based on the image's details, the unit will make use of a Kingston RAM and it will weigh between 600-800g, thus making it a small and slim version. Gamers speculate that the machine will be similar in size as the Wii.

Cinema Blend reports that the size makes sense as Microsoft has been pushing for smaller chips since the Xbox One. It should be noted that with all these news, no mention of Virtual Technology (VR) has been linked to the consoles.

Xbox One New Controller Details

Meanwhile, the new controller will look the same as the existing Xbox One controller, but it might come with new color choices, Thurrott further reports. Microsoft's production of the accessory is supposedly designed to integrate PC and Xbox One gaming and boost usage of Windows 10.

The news outlet also hinted that there's more to be expected from Microsoft's presentation in this coming E3. Stay tuned to Parent Herald for more updates on Microsoft's Xbox consoles and the coming E3 presentation by liking our Facebook and following our Twitter!
