'Wolverine 3' Cast, News & Update: Notable British Actor Will Play Mad Scientist - Hugh Jackman's Next Worst Nightmare

Hugh Jackman's worst nightmare in "Wolverine 3" may be a mad scientist that will be played by notable British actor, Richard E. Grant. Although no "Wolverine 3" rep has confirmed Grant's role, he is pegged to be the "villainous mad scientist type."

Cinema Blend mentioned that Richard Grant is one of the popular actors in British films. He is known for "Dracula" and "Corpse Bride." He also had a lead role in "The Iron Lady," acting side by side with award-winning actress Meryl Streep.

Richard Grant's entry into "Wolverine 3" is expected to take his career a notch higher. Though there are no concrete details as to who, many are speculating that Grant will be playing Mr. Sinister, a mad scientist who makes it a point to live up to his "sinister" image.

Another speculation is that, if Richard Grant will not be Mr. Sinister, then a lead villainous role created and written specifically for "Wolverine 3" might be Grant's role. What complicates Marvel movie is that the heroes and villains included therein are often tied up with different holders of rights, creating a conflicting mess even for movie producers.

Whatever role Richard Grant will play, "Wolverine 3" will be in good hands. His experience in "Dracula" must have given him enough practice in taking on villainous roles. He also proved his worth in several TV series including "Jekyll & Hyde," "Dig," "Doctor Who" and HBO's "Girls."

Hollywood Reporter said that other actors slated for "Wolverine 3" include Patrick Stewart, who of course, will play Professor-X and Boyd Holdbrook, who would also be a pain in the neck for Hugh Jackman.

"Wolverine 3" filming will start in May and is expected to hit theaters on 2017. Yes, it's a long wait but with noteworthy actors involved in the film, it will be worth it. Stay tuned to Parent Herald for more updates on "Wolverine 3!"
