'Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare' News: Leaked Promo Says 'CoD4' Game Remake Part Of 'Infinite Warfare' Legacy Edition

A "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" remake by publisher Activision is happening. News say that the remastered "CoD4" is part of the "Call of Duty 4: Infinite Warfare Legacy" edition package.

Not many games can claim the same level of success as the "Call Of Duty" franchise. In 2013, Activision released statistics demonstrating the popularity of the game.

At that point 100 million users and 2.85 million years had been collectively played on "Call of Duty." By then, too, "Call Of Duty" also recorded that 32,300,000,000,000,000 shots were fired and 5 billion cars destroyed in-game.

The "Call Of Duty" series originally started as a World War II themed single-player targeted series as a rival to EA's Medal of Honor. However, only with "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" did the series start to reach phenomenal levels of commercial success.

The news that Activision is remastering the fourth iteration as news reports indicate, is unsurprising. Digital Spy reported that Reddit user InfiniteWarefareLeaks made a cover image post.

It seemed to have been suggesting that "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" remastered will be packaged with the "Legacy Edition." The re-mastered "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" will be a download of the upcoming futuristic iteration in the series, Infinite Warfare.

Official announcement has yet to be made on both the remastered "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare." The same is true for "Call of Duty 4: Infinite Warfare's Legacy." However, Eurogamer reports that Activision may make this announcement in the next week or so.

The Reddit post lists the re-mastered "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" for a November 4 launch. News is yet to surface on whether or not the remastered "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" will include multiplayer.

Cynics might suggest that this is Activision's attempt to recapture the glory days of the "Call Of Duty" series while gamers are being tempted over to other multiplayer franchises. Whether this is true or not, "Call Of Duty" has enough fans to see gamers return both to the newest iteration "Infinite Warfare" and "CoD4" remastered.
