'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News & Update: Title Not Coming In E3; 'Legends of the West' Reports Fake

Previous reports claim that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be announced at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. "Red Dead Redemption" fans were hopeful that this is true. Unfortunately, just a month before E3, new reports claimed that there would be no new details about "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the said event.

No 'Red Dead Redemption 2' At E3

According to News Everyday, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will not be released at E3 despite earlier speculations. Parent Herald previously reported that fans should not expect for "Red Dead Redemption 2" at E3 despite Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick's statement that they would attend E3 with a big bang.

Take-Two Interactive is the parent company of Rockstar Games. Rockstar Games is the team working on "Red Dead Redemption 2." Per Lazy Gamer, while Take-Two Interactive usually surprises their fans at E3, Rockstar Games does not practice the same.

Per the report, Rockstar Games doesn't prepare big surprises at E3, so the announcement or release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the said event is unlikely. The team usually prefers to present their games on their own terms.

'Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West' Reports NOT True

One Reddit user, named AnonDN1978 claimed to be an ex-Rockstar Games developer. According to him "Red Dead Redemption 2" will come with the official title of "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West." He also hinted that it will be a prequel, WCCF Tech reported.

However, new reports claim that this is not true. News Everyday notes that many fans and critics are disappointed after learning that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will not be announced at E3. The report added that "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West" reports are entirely fake because Rockstar Games has not released any official statement about the game yet.
