'Beetlejuice 2' Release Date, News & Update: Tim Burton Reveals Possibility Of Film In Right Circumstances; Could It Be Happening Any Time Soon?

"Beetlejuice" is one of the most loved films of all time. The weirdness of the film hit everyone like a brick and, ever since then, it has become a cult favorite.

Even until now, the character "Beetlejuice" is still very much profound in the film industry and outside of it. But despite being successful, "Beetlejuice" did not get a sequel and has been a lonesome film title ever since its release in 1988.

Now, all of a sudden, rumors have come out that there is a possibility that a "Beetlejuice 2" will soon be in the works. Although Tim Burtion, the director of the original "Beetlejuice" film has not confirmed yet, it is not a far-fetched rumor. In a recent interview by Collider's correspondent Steve Weintraub, he asked Tim Burton about "Beetlejuice 2."

"This is the thing, it's something that I'm interested in, but there's so many stories [online], dumping Michael Keaton for Johnny Depp and this or that, and I've talked to these people and they didn't wanna hear this so they just made up a story," Tim Burton said. "But the fact of it is I have talked to Michael and I have talked to Winona, I've talked to a few people."

"It's something that I really would like to do in the right circumstances, but it's one of those films where it has to be right. It's not a kind of a movie that cries out [for a sequel], it's not the Beetlejuice trilogy," Tim Burton added on. "So it's something that if the elements are right-because I do love the character and Michael's amazing as that character, so yeah we'll see. But there's nothing concrete yet," Tim Burton stated.

 There might be a great chance that "Beetlejuice 2" might happen if Tim Burton finds it the right time to do so. As of now, Tim Burton is busy with his newest feature film, "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children."
