'Black Ops 3' Release Date, News & Updates: Experiences Issues On PS4

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" experienced PS4 multiplayer issues on Wednesday with players mostly complaining about connectivity issues. Video game publisher Activision has confirmed that existence of such problems.

Express reported that Activision is now currently investigating the issues raised by "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" players. According to some gamers, it was hard for them to complete the game because of the lags.

"Last hour or so, really difficult to get a game that's not 4v6 and/or lagging like hell," read one "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3"  player's complain as quoted by Express. "Intermittent disconnections from network while in lobbies. [It is] frustrating to try 4-5 games before finding a decent lobby then to get kicked out that lobby after one game!"

DLC patch blamed

There were also some who pinpointed that the troubles happened since they had the DLC patch for the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." This has reportedly been causing the connection issues for players on the PS4. The same report noted that the Activision has already replied to the queries of the players saying that they are aware of what is happening to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." 

"We are currently investigating the issue and appreciate your patience while we work to restore service," the game publisher said. It also managed to warn players through the server status page indicating that there are existing connectivity issues.

Effect of 'Uncharted 4'?

According to GearNuke, this downtime on the system happened a day after the launch of "Uncharted 4" on Tuesday since it has an online multiplayer game. Players are fearing that the same thing could happen after the launch of the "Doom" this coming May 13.

An update from PlayStation Lifestyle said connectivity for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" has already been restored. It, however, said that the groups functionality is still temporarily disabled to give way to troubleshooting. The game developer was able to fix the PS4 problem which irritated users because of the difficulty of launching applications and other game features.
