'Doom' Release Date, News & Updates: New Trailer Shows Intense Gameplay, Scary Demons & Unique Weapons

There is a brand new trailer for the highly-anticipated new "Doom" video game. As expected, the "Doom" trailer shows gore, violence, intense gameplay, a variety of demons and innovative customization options.

The new "Doom" trailer also promises a unique and distinct gaming experience. "When you play Doom it just feels different," executive producer Marty Stratton described the new "Doom" gaming experience via International Business Times. "It creates that feel that is unique to us and, you know, that's why we do this."

One of the most unique things about the new "Doom" game is the diverse customization options that can help you finish game missions, levels and enemies. Every firearm can be upgraded to increase your speed, mobility and firepower.

The new "Doom" game provides gamers the chance to transform their close-range shotgun firearm into a mid-range weapon by using an alternative fire mode. New weapons will be introduced but old "Doom" favorites such as the BFG 9000, Rocket Launcher and the Plasma Rifle will be making a return.

Although unique weapon upgrades are great highlights for the new "Doom" game, fans are also excited about the chance to customize their game character and gameplay experience. "I like to tailor my experience to speed - make it so I can glory-kill faster, I can mantle faster, I can switch mods faster; I can do all these things just a little bit faster," Hugo Martin, "Doom" creative director, stated via IBT.

As for the graphics, the new "Doom" game is plugged at 60fps, runs on a Titan X but can also run on the brand new GTX 1080, according to the Verge. The new "Doom" game will be released today, May 13.
