Jennifer Trapuzzano reveals she and Nathan talked about his death just hours before he was shot

Nathan Trapuzzano's widow revealed that the two talked about his death just hours before he was shot dead by a 16-year-old robber.

Jennifer Trapuzzano, 25, who is eight months pregnant with their first child, said on their last night together she wouldn't be able to live without him.

"I don't know why, but we talked about him passing. We were lying in bed and I told him, 'I don't know what I'd ever do without you,'" Jennifer told Mail Online.

"You'd make it through," Nathan replied, putting his arm around his newlywed and resting it on her stomach.

"He was holding his baby girl and he felt her kick. I woke up the next morning and he was gone," Jennifer said.

Shortly after at 5.50 a.m., he was shot dead just a few blocks from their Indianapolis home after being approached by two men. Simeon Adams, 16, also known as "Red" and who has a past criminal record, was charged with Nathan's murder Tuesday.

Jennifer is haunted by the fact that Nathan, who was going for a walk, normally exercised in the evening, but changed his schedule to spend more time with her.

"There is no rhyme or reason, but it makes it harder that it was the first week he went in the morning. He was so diligent about his exercise," she said.

Police suspect Adams meant to rob Nathan.

"All he had was his gold crucifix and his gold wedding band, but they didn't take either of those, which I'm glad about," she said of her devout Catholic husband.

The couple, who met at Ball State University when they were 19, spent their last night relaxing - walking to McDonald's to get ice cream together, and cuddling.

Since Nathan's murder, Jennifer has moved back in with her parents, and friends have started a Go Fund Me site to help with funeral costs. So far they have raised over $150,000.

"I have been so touched by the incredible support I have received. It is comforting to know there are so many people out there who care," she added.
