‘Castle’ Spin-Off Confirmed: Nathan Fillion Reprises Role Following Alleged Feud With Stana Katic?

"Castle" Season 8 served as the series finale of the ABC long-running drama following the departure of its lead star, Stana Katic. While many fans were disappointed about this heartbreaking news, the network confirmed in an earlier interview that a potential spin-off was in the works.

"Castle" may still live on for more seasons on TV despite its recent cancellation on ABC after Season 8. In an earlier interview with TVGuide.com, former ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee revealed that the network was considering on venturing out the Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion-led series for a spin-off.

"We'd love for 'Castle' to keep going for many years to come," said Lee. "There are a lot of conversations going on about how we can do that."

Lee revealed to the press that they are already receiving a lot of good ideas for the "Castle" spin-off series. Lee's statements regarding the spin-off came right before ABC announced the show's cancellation and while fans were still speculating on Stana Katic's departure from the show.

While it remains to be seen which characters would be taking the lead for the "Castle" spin-off, there are rumors that Nathan Fillion would reprise his role as Richard Castle. The show's cancellation is said to be due to the alleged feud between Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion.

Fillion and Katic have not been in good terms, which eventually led to the actress' departure in "Castle" Season 8. According to Us Weekly, things got worse for Fillion and Katic when they filmed the show's last season.

"This season, it got so out of hand they made Stana and Nathan go to couples counseling together," an insider said.

With this alleged feud between Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, would it be better if one of them would reprise their respective roles for the "Castle" spin-off? Which character do you wish to see in the potential spin-off? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
