Donald Trump Drags Disney's 'Frozen' To Defend Anti-Semitic Tweet, But Was The Idea Stolen?

Donald Trump and his campaign got in hot water for criticizing his political opponent, Hillary Clinton, with a photo that featured what looked like the Star of David. The post has since been deleted, but it seems Trump couldn't let it go after the backlash.

In an attempt to defend what some media called as an anti-Semitic reference from Donald Trump, the Republican presidential hopeful dragged Disney's "Frozen" into the controversy. He posted an image of the "Frozen" sticker book featuring the characters Elsa and Anna on his Twitter. A Star of David, or what looked like it, was also prominently displayed in the photo.

Then, Donald Trump asked, "Where is the outrage for this Disney book? Is this the 'Star of David' also?" He wanted to emphasize on the dishonesty of the media in reporting his anti-Semitic post.

According to Heavy, Trump's original tweet against Clinton had a sheriff's badge. Apparently, Donald Trump called out the people behind his campaign for taking down the photo. "I would have rather defended it," said Trump, per The Wrap.

But in using Disney's "Frozen" to defend himself, Donald Trump got in even deeper hot water with the public. According to Inverse, the very same Disney image and anti-Semitic implication first appeared on a Reddit thread, which Donald Trumped posted on his Twitter hours later. The site pointed out, Trump's defense is "not even original."

Meanwhile, "Frozen" star Kristen Bell also blasted Donald Trump for his post. The actress told the politician, via a Twitter post, to focus on more important issues than to use Disney references in a Twitter takedown.
