"The Walking Dead" Season 7 release date is not yet announced. However, Daryl has managed to survive! There are reports that he survived Negan's bat beating and has now become his comrade.

Daryl To Join Negan in Season 7 of 'The Walking Dead?'

Fans are thrilled after learning that Daryl is to return in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. It is widely speculated that he will be taken off the show as he would have dies after the bat beating incident. However, rumors are now rampant that he will become Negan's right hand joining him as a member of the brutal Savior Organization.

It is also speculated that Negan would have staged the punishment so as to recruit Daryl. Daryl is supposedly taken hostage and brought to 'The Sanctuary,' which is where the Savior compound is located.

The 'big change' in the next season of "The Walking Dead" is that the show runners like Robert Kirkman, Frank Darabont, Charlie Adlard and Tony Moore announced earlier could be Daryl.

There are varied speculations made in the next season of "The Walking Dead." Some feel Daryl joined Negan as a survival strategy while others feel that it is his creative way to understand how to take down a villain, reported Sports Rageous.

It was also suggested that Daryl will turn to the evil side in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

Negan's character might be explored deeper in the upcoming season. Also, it is said that Lucille's history might also be uncovered and explored while Negan's character is studied. She is someone Negan treasured and even named his weapon in her name. Hence, she must be special for Negan.

 "Whether it's with Carl or not, I cannot say. I absolutely want to explore Negan having that strange respect for someone which I think was the hallmark of that relationship and we'll tell versions of that story," a "The Walking Dead" insider said.
