Healthcare Made More Affordable" This Groundbreaking Startup is Making Healthcare More Cost Efective and Efficient

There are many people out there looking to invest in the next big startup and now they may have found it in the form of Provata Health. With almost $3 trillion spent annually on healthcare services, what sets Provata apart is that is sets to cut back these premiums to make health more affordable. Provata is currently leading a digital and team-based healthcare program to produce better results from the healthcare services people in the working class receive.

They say that prevention is the best cure and that is extremely true, as 75% of the money spent on healthcare actually goes to treating conditions that are brought about by preventable behaviors and simply, poor lifestyle choices such as smoking, drinking, and overeating. Forbes also reports that while "workplace wellness programs" are growing at an exponential rate, their success rates have stagnated or in some cases have even declined. Provata takes advantage of these statistics by providing digital healthcare measures that focus on being preventive.

"Based on 25 years of research by our physicians, we really felt that companies in general needed a clinically validated, evidence-based solution that works," Alex Goldberg, the CEO of Provata Health, said in an interview. "We believe digital health programs have the potential to be even stronger, so we strive to develop teams across offices and organizations to truly transform workplace wellness on a more global scale," he adds.

Provata has called its groundbreaking program "Healthy Team Healthy U®" or HTHU for short. HTHU was shown to reduce the obesity rate among participants by more than 30%, according to a press release from Business Wire. The sustained weight reduction brought about by this program is double that of the CDC's diabetes prevention program. Considering as how the CDC is one of the most prominent health organizations in the United States, this is quite the impressive margin.
