MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date Expected to Save Apple Declining Sales; MacBook Air 2017 Hinted

The pressure is real for the new MacBook Pro 2016. As new reports suggested, it looks like Apple is experiencing a sharp decline in their PC sales, and it looks like the new flagship computer could either improve the numbers or put the Cupertino-based company in deeper water.

According to BGR, recent data from Gartner and IDC claimed that Mac sales in June were only pegged at 4.4 million units putting Apple in a dangerous spot with an 8.3% decline in sales. Unfortunately, other MacBook Pro competitors have enjoyed an increase in sales.

This could possibly put the new MacBook Pro 2016 release at risk, with previous rumors claiming that it will officially replace the MacBook Air for good. According to Tech Times, the new MacBook Pro 2016 could be Apple's new flagship model. Because of its noteworthy upgrades and new features, the new Pro will definitely send the Air packing.

As the site mentioned, the MacBook Pro 2016 which will come in 13 and 15 inches, will reportedly boast of NFC chip technology, Touch ID fingerprint scanning, OLED touchbar, USB-C / Thunderbolt, wireless charging and Intel's latest Skylake processors.

Other features that will reportedly come with the new Apple MacBook Pro 2016 are Siri or Touch ID unlocking and it will reportedly run on MacOS Sierra. The new Apple computer is expected to be released sometime between August and October 2016.

However, other MacBook Pro 2016 reports are claiming that it's not yet the end for the well-loved MacBook Air. As Mac World reported, it looks like Apple is already gearing up for a MacBook Air 2017 release. The new Air will reportedly come in 13 and 15-inch screens, USB Type-C, next gen graphics and RAM upgrades.
