'19 Kids and Counting' News: TLC Responds To Rumors of Josh Duggar Being Back on TV

Speculations emerged that Josh Duggar will be making a comeback through his sister’s reality TV series, “Jill and Jessa Counting On.” Though it may not be far out, it was recently revealed that TLC has no plans of putting him back into the spotlight.

Parent Herald recently revealed that Josh Duggar will be returning to the show and offer his public apology. The source then added that by letting Josh publicly apologize for the scandal that he caused would possibly bring in more viewers and increase their ratings.

“Josh will appear on the next season of his sisters’ series,” a source tells the Hollywood Reporter. “The plan is for him to address everything he’s done. What he has to say will be ratings gold, and TLC - and the Duggars - know it.”

The source who revealed Josh’s return was placed under fire as it was cleared out that Josh Duggar will not be returning to the second season of “Jill and Jessa Counting On.” The TLC executives cleared out the speculations and EXCLUSIVELY told People Magazine that Josh Duggar’s TV comeback are “absolutely untrue.”

It was then revealed that the second season may not feature Josh Duggar, but it will focus more on Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard and their son Isiah’s return as they make their way home. It would also feature Jinger Duggar's courtship with Jeremy Vuolo, which the couple previously announced.
