"It's really dark," Abbington said. "it's the darkest Steven and Mark have written...If we can pull this off, then it's amazing."

At the same time the show has kept its humor element intact. The hilarious as well as cheeky moments of Sherlock won't be missed. It is definitely going to be included. It was promised that the show will never cut the jokes.

"There are moments in this series where it does get looser," promised Cumberbatch.
