'Doctor Strange' Movie Latest News & Updates; Tilda Swinton Reacts To Whitewash Over Ancient One Role

A whole lot of new trailers on upcoming movies this year and the next, with Marvel's "Doctor Strange" giving audiences a bit more of Benedict Cumberbatch's character. And it certainly was more.

"Doctor Strange" gave its fans a sneak peak of what's up last April, and the reviews were awesome, according to Rolling Stone. Now, the full, new trailer shares more mind-altering stunts and stunning visuals that could leave anyone breathless.

Imagine going through a reality somewhat like what The Matrix movies had sent fans to more than ten years ago, however, this time "Doctor Strange's" movie effects would surely exceed one's expectations. Sorcerer-Supreme Cumberbatch had a mild, crash course on that alternate reality courtesy of the "Ancient One" Swinton, in the "Doctor Strange" movie full trailer.

Meanwhile, Tilda Swinton aka Ancient One encourages Doctor Strange to look beyond the physical reality of the world, bringing him to places in an instant to show the other side of it. She also responded to surfacing whitewashing concerns, especially since the original Ancient One in the Marvel Universe is of Asian descent.

Remember Johansson's "Ghost in the Shell"? It hasn't really come out yet, and there's been a lot everyone had to say about her getting the lead role.

In a related Evening Standard post, Marvel also had come to Swinton's defense to put a stomp on the issue, saying "The Ancient One is a title that is not exclusively held by any one character, but rather a moniker passed down through time, and in this particular film the embodiment is Celtic."

Anyway, the trailer for "Doctor Strange" was set in a dark fantasy scenario and a lot of mirrors getting magically pushed back, according to the Huffington Post. "Doctor Strange"'s nemesis in the movie, Kaecilius, (played by Mr. "Hannibal" Mads Mikkelsen), was also seen in a few scenes with his allies. It was a start into what the fights would be like when the movie shows in screens this November 2016. Time to check out those two trailers from "Doctor Strange" again here!
