NBA Trade Rumors, Latest News: Minnesota Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio, Phoenix Suns' Eric Bledsoe Swap Happening?

Recent NBA trade rumors favorite, Minnesota Timberwolves' point guard Ricky Rubio, and Phoenix Suns' Eric Bledsoe are on the watch list of trade talks. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns are reportedly in talks over roster trade for the next season, which may or may not involve Ricky Rubio.

According to Sports Illustrated, earlier confirmations by the Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor indicated unwillingness to trade Ricky Rubio. However, the selection of Kris Dunn as the fifth overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves fanned the buzz of a Ricky Rubio trade.

Sportsrageous cites ESPN in reporting that the Minnesota Timberwolves are still working with stepping up shooting skills for Ricky Rubio and fitting Kris Dunn into the lineup. Despite this, a show of reassurance, the Minnesota Timberwolves did express the need to balance their young roster.

According to Sportsrageous, the Timberwolves admit that the team has a place in their make up for a veteran player. In this, the Phoenix Suns complement the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Bleacher Report points out that the Phoenix Suns has veteran players to spare, particularly point guards Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe. The appeal then for an NBA trade between the Phoenix Suns and the Minnesota Timberwolves comes from Eric Bledsoe and Ricky Rubio having what would give the other team a stronger roster.

Sports Illustrated points out that, NBA trade notwithstanding a move out of Minnesota Timberwolves for Ricky Rubio is an opportunity to shine. The media outlet suggests that Ricky Rubio could do well with the San Antonio Spurs or the Sacramento Kings.

The Houston Rockets and the Milwaukee Bucks would also similarly benefit (and benefit from) Ricky Rubio as a point guard. If the Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns trade does not work out to his liking Ricky Rubio has more than a fair share of options for the coming NBA seasons.
