'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 News: Will the Last Season End Without Nina Dobrev?

CelebDirty Laundry reports that Julie Plec and the rest of the cast made their final Comic-Con appearance as they bid their fans farewell. It's already been confirmed that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will be the last season for Elana, Damon, Bonnie and the rest of the beloved characters.

"This is going to be the final season...it's bittersweet and emotional and we are going to be crying about this for a few minutes. And you guys stuck with us," Julie Plec mentioned during the conference.

As "The Vampire Diaries" reached its final season, fans are eager to know as to whether Elena who is portrayed by Nina Dobrev will be making a comeback. Fans may be eager to see Elana and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finish off their love story, but it was revealed that Nina Dobrev "might" not return.

It was previously announced that Nina Dobrev will be making a comeback for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 for her to help the rest of the cast deliver an epic story. Though it is yet to be confirmed, Julie Plec mentioned that Dobrev has already made a pack that she will join the rest of "The Vampire Diaries" cast for its final season as per Just Jared Jr.

"Not to put too much pressure on anything Nina Dobrev, but a promise was made. An emotional promise that I'd like to see come to life. You heard it here...they've been friendship promises made, and now we'll see if we can deliver on them."
