'Kingdom Hearts 3' News & Update: Xehanort And Eraqus New Playable Characters; Upcoming Title Will Have A Better Storyline

There is no doubt that many are waiting for "Kingdom Hearts 3." For a long time, Square Enix has kept mum about their progress on "Kingdom Hearts 3" until they announced that they are working on "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" as it will be released first prior to "KH3."

For those waiting for new updates about "Kingdom Hearts 3," according to reports, the next title will come with a better storyline and it will include Xehanort and Eraqus in the playable characters.

Xehanort And Eraqus Join The Playable Characters In 'Kingdom Hearts 3'

According to Yibada, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a new combat system and will include the keyblade masters Xehanort and Eraqus on its playable characters. Thus, there are now more characters to explore in "KH3" and being the last installment in the series, it will conclude the Dark Seeker Saga.

"Definitely. There's a lot of strings and a lot of strands in the previous Kingdom Hearts. They all come together," "Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tai Yasue told Games Beat. "Right now we're depicting the Dark Seeker saga, with Xehanort and his group that Sora's battling. Them and the other Keyblade masters will have a sort of showdown. And so I think all the - everything is going to come together at the conclusion of the Dark Seeker saga in part III."

'Kingdom Hearts 3' Will Have A Better Storyline

Aside from featuring a new combat system and including the keyblade masters in "Kingdom Hearts 3," Yasue teases that it will have a better story than the previous "Kingdom Hearts" games. However, there's a catch and that is if you understand all the other stories. However, you can still enjoy it without following the whole arc, iDigital Times reported.

Yasue also added that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will use the moves from "Birth by Sleep" and enhance it. "The moves look a lot flashier, but at the same time not too difficult. We have the same sort of command menu as the numbered titles, II and III. That's very similar in 0.2. It's sort of a mixture between Birth By Sleep and Kingdom Hearts III , both aspects of that coming together."
