NBA Rumos: Title Contender Wants Stephen Curry If Tandem With Kevin Durant Fails But Curry Unlikely To Leave GSW

Kevin Durant just signed up to join Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest of the gang in Golden State Warriors. However, even before the NBA season began, some NBA teams are already gearing up to have Curry under their wings, in case, his tandem with Durant fails.

Title Contender Wants Stephen Curry On Their Team

The new NBA season is yet to start but fans and the rest of the NBA enthusiasts are restless in speculating what will happen next. According to Ric Bucher, several teams are already preparing to have Stephen Curry on their team in case he doesn't go along well playing with Kevin Durant for the GSW.

"There are 29 teams hoping the chemistry between Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry is poisonous, but there is one team that is planning for it," Bucher said. "I've been told by one of the league's title contenders that they hope to poach Curry."

Bucher did not mention the team but he teases that it is a title contender. He added that the team's pitch is "Come to us, and you can be the man once more." The title contender can be narrowed down to the Cavaliers, Clippers and Spurs. You can also include the Raptors or Thunder.

Stephen Curry Unlikely To Leave Golden State Warriors

Despite the reports circulating online that a title contender is determined to have Stephen Curry signed with them, Warriors World believes that it is unlikely for Curry to leave the Golden State Warriors.

Stephen Curry plays well with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for GSW. While Thompson is more mild mannered on the court, Curry did not have any issues with the more aggressive Green. So, for those hoping that Curry and Kevin Durant will not go along well, that is unlikely.

"Curry will almost certainly remain with the Warriors past next season. This 'contending' team had best not get their hopes up about acquiring him," the report concluded. Well, GSW fans are hoping that Durant and Curry will give the team another championship, so they should work well together.
