But Bloom has yet to prove his box-office worth and with Depp's age and diminishing box-office charm, a reboot with new storylines and characters might be a better idea, MNR Daily noted.

In addition, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" also features new directors, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg. Meanwhile, the fifth installment of the "Pirates" franchise is set to hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
