Donald Trump Kisses Babies In Campaign Trail, Babies Cry & Moment Turns Bad For Republican Candidate [VIDEO]

Politicians kissing babies from a crowd of supporters is a common sight during election season. In fact, many parents enthusiastically hand their babies to the political figure for a photo opportunity, no matter how awkward it can get. Unfortunately for Donald Trump, awkward can't even begin to describe what happened to him in a recent soiree, when he took not just one, but two babies, in his arms.

The Republican candidate was at a rally in Colorado Springs on July 29, where over 1,500 supporters were in attendance, per Quartz. After his speech, Donald Trump was set to greet his supporters when he spotted the babies being carried by their parents who were waiting in line.

He took the babies in his arms and things were supposed to go smoothly. Remarking that the babies were "too cute," Donald Trump turned away from the crowd to face the cameras, and then kissed the babies' foreheads more than once.

However, that's when one of the babies started crying and the other looked quite a bit disoriented. The mistake was Donald Trump turned the babies away from their parents' hindsight, according to the Independent. Watch the whole thing happen in the video below.

Of course, Donald Trump's critics didn't let this moment escape. What would have been a great time to show his lighter and softer side turned into a disaster, per The Sun. Fusion notes the babies in this Donald Trump campaign trail might have a fantastic story, with photos and videos to prove it. But will they be willing to talk about this when they are old enough or keep this as one of their deepest, darkest secrets?

Yet, while Donald Trump received bad press over kissing the babies in Colorado, recent polls have indicated that he has been closing in on Hillary Clinton's lead in the presidential race, per NBC. However, the polls were taken before the respective parties held their national conventions during the last week of July.
