WWE News: Former Diva Victoria Returning? Confirmed Comebacks Include Jinder Mahal, Rosa Mendes, & Curt Hawkins

Rumors have surfaced in recent weeks about former WWE stars returning. Some have been confirmed such as Rhyno, Shelton Benjamin, Jinder Mahal, and Curt Hawkins. Names of former WWE Divas have popped up as well including Lisa Marie Varon a.k.a. Victoria.

Victoria's last appearance in WWE was in 2009 and has since joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as Tara to be one of the promotion's most successful Knockouts. With two championships for the WWE Women's Division under her belt, it's no doubt that Victoria's return would boost the "SmackDown" brand.

Victoria Teases Return To WWE

Rumors about Victoria's WWE comeback first gained momentum after she posted an intriguing tweet on Monday, August 1. Tagging a friend in the tweet, the 45-year-old wrestler wrote: "I was told by @stitchedupadam that this week's WWE Smackdown is a must see. Not sure why. Hmmmm."

Victoria's friend, meanwhile, tweeted that Tuesday's SmackDown is "gonna be really cool" if you're a fan of the wrestler. If Victoria indeed lands on SmackDown, she could revisit her past feud with Natalya, or she could have matches with Becky Lynch, The Inquisitr noted.

In an interview with Total Wrestling Magazine in the UK back in May, Victoria said she would love to wrestle against Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Paige if she returns to WWE's Women Division. She also commended the current women wrestlers in WWE for convincing people to take females "more seriously now." Victoria said the audience has managed to look beyond the "bra and panties matches" and are now focusing on the wrestling skills of the women.

Confirmed Stars Returning For WWE

Mahal's return to this week's RAW was confirmed by sports journalist Dave Meltzer, F4WOnline reported. Mahal left WWE in 2014, a time when he was a part of the Three Men Band alongside Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre.

Aside from Mahal, Paul Heyman also reached a new agreement with WWE Raw along with his client Brock Lesnar. Curt Hawkins is returning to the SmackDown brand, though his official debut date hasn't been announced yet. In addition, Rosa Mendes has come back to the WWE Performance Center to train for the ring after giving birth to her first child, according to Pwinsider.com.

Pwinsider.com also reported that WWE has contacted former stars MVP, Melina, Carlito, and Tommy Dreamer to return. Stevie Richards is rumored to return as well now that he's finished his guest coach role at the WWE Performance Center.
