‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Spoilers & Premiere Date: New Meredith Grey Poster; Jo & Alex Would Still Get Married?

A new "Grey's Anatomy" poster has been revealed to get fans of the long-running medical drama pumped up for Season 13. The new poster features half of Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey, with the artwork's left side featuring the iconic Seattle skyline.

Check out the new "Grey's Anatomy" poster on TVLine. One of the highlights of the new season is Meredith's first serious relationship after Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) death. Meredith and Nathan's (Martin Henderson) romance seemed to be on the right track, but that could soon be compromised by the lead heroine's sister, Maggie (Kelly McCreary), who's probably harboring feelings for Nathan as well.

Speaking about his character's potential deep romance with Meredith in Season 13, Henderson said what bonds the two doctors together is their "shared loss" and that Nathan could be the one person in Meredith's life "that she can relate to on that level," TVLine reported. The actor suggested that the two's relationship would be healthy, seeing as the "irreverent" Nathan isn't afraid to call out Meredith on her shortcomings.

Henderson said Nathan not taking everything seriously "might be really good" for Meredith and would encourage her to "lighten up" even though she's still reeling from her loss. Henderson added that it's only a matter of time before the duo's fling would turn into something more serious.

Pompeo, meanwhile, said Derek is "not replaceable" in Meredith's heart and that "there will only be one McDreamy ever." But that doesn't mean that a serious relationship with Nathan isn't on the cards.

Speaking of romance, another relationship, Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers), is expected to take center stage on "Grey's Anatomy's" upcoming season. Back in Season 10, Jo rejected Alex's marriage proposal and the reason why was revealed in the Season 12 finale.

It turns out Jo is still married, though her husband is unknown to the show's viewers yet and she's hiding from him by dropping her spouse's name. Hall of Fame Magazine speculated that Jo was probably a battered wife.

There's a huge possibility that Jo's married status will be revealed to Alex in Season 13. It's also likely that the two's romance would end up in marriage after Jo's problems are resolved. That, however, isn't certain yet.

As for April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams), the duo would work out some of their unfinished business in Season 13. Drew said April and Jackson's relationship would be rekindled now that they have a new baby, Unreality TV reported. "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 premieres on ABC on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 8/7c.
