NBA Trade Rumors: Isaiah Thomas And Avery Bradley Up For Contract Renegotiations; Are They Staying Or Leaving Celtics?

There is no doubt that Isaiah Thomas and Bradley Avery are among the best players in Boston Celtics. However, the pair's contract with the team will soon end but reports have it that they are up for contract renegotiations.

According to Mass Live, there are high chances for Boston Celtics to keep Isaiah Thomas and Bradley Avery on their roster. But for sure, with their performance in the last NBA season, the duo deserves more. This means that Celtics have to reconsider a number of factors, which tends to complicate the matter.

First, if Boston Celtics will keep Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley the pair will surely demand more money and there are no issues with that because they deserve it. Second, Celtics will surely maximize their cap space next summer with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul hitting the market. Unfortunately, Celtics cannot accommodate both so, they have to choose.

Per the report, Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley have little incentive if they stick with Celtics as they will only make 107.5 in the first year of an extension. However, if they stay they can play with one of the NBA contenders and enjoy a substantial raise in the free agency next summer.

But will Boston Celtics let go of Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley when having the two players make them one of the deepest teams in the NBA league? According to Celtics Blog, Celtics starting lineup with Al Horford, Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder is the seventh best in the league.

Aside from their strong starters, Boston Celtics ranked third in the benches of the NBA league. The team is just behind Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors. Here's what the CBS Sports has to say about the team.

"The versatility on Boston's bench is pretty exciting. Jerebko and Olynyk can both play multiple positions, are fine defenders and can stretch the floor with their shooting. Tyler Zeller is rugged and smart. Marcus Smart could be a starter for several teams and his tenacious play has become a hallmark of Brad Stevens' Celtics," the report said.

Will Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley demand much money from Boston Celtics? Will the team give in knowing that the pair is among their assets for their next NBA title? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
