'Sherlock Holmes 3' Spoilers, News & Update: Cast To Start Filming This Fall; Plot Includes A Time Travel?

Do you love "Sherlock Holmes?" If you do, then you will surely be delighted with this report. According to some sources, Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the cast are prepping to film "Sherlock Holmes 3" this fall.

There is no doubt that many love "Sherlock Holmes," all the more because of the actor behind it. Robert Downey Jr. always leaves an impression in every character he brings to life in the big screens. He owns it, to the point that you can't imagine any other actor playing the role. Many feel the same for "Iron Man 4," Downey Jr.'s superhero character in the Marvel universe.

Now, Robert Downey Jr. will be putting off his "Iron Man" suit to don Sherlock Holmes' frock coat. According to Cross Map, the ball will soon be rolling for "Sherlock Holmes 3."

Well, this should not be a big surprise, though, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law has already confirmed "Sherlock Holmes 3" and since then there are rumors that the production will start filming this year. Parent Herald previously reported that "Sherlock Holmes 3" will have a new screenwriter and that production may start this year. Meanwhile, Guy Ritchie is set to helm the film.

So what can we expect from "Sherlock Holmes 3?" Jude Law teased that there will be a time travel concept in the next "Sherlock Holmes" film. "I still think it's a good idea! I don't want to say, 'Yeah it's true,' and then it kind of blows the idea out of the water," Law said on MTV's Happy Sad Confused podcast.

"But I guess, if I'm being honest, I think both Robert [Downey Jr.] and Guy [Ritchie] kind of went... what? But I kind of thought... I can't remember. I thought that was in top secret. I'm amazed that someone has leaked that. Yeah, I thought [we could] sort of combine H.G. Wells and Sherlock Holmes. And then Downey topped it by going, 'Yeah, and the time travel machine is... it's something you eat.' I wonder what he's referring to there? I don't know. You eat it and you go, 'Oh my God, I'm in 2024!'"
