NBA Trade Rumors: Jordan Clarkson Might Move To Sixers or Hawks; Trade Might Happen If Defense In The Next Season Does Not Improve

NBA Trade Rumors suggest a possible trade after gauging the performance in the next season for Team Lakers. The team has made some improvements during the offseason. However, they are no one's hot favorites. In fact, NBA rumors also suggest that the team will end up at the end in the upcoming Western Conference during 2016-17 NBA season.

According to latest NBA trade rumors, Jordan Clarkson will be traded by the Los Angeles Lakers if his defense does not improve during the next season. The trade will be made to either Atlanta Hawks or Philadelphia 76ers.

NBA Trade Rumors suggest that the Los Angeles Lakers are undertaking a huge rebuilding of their team owing to their disappointing performance in the previous season. The huge move came when they fired Byron Scott. He was replaced by Luke Walton, the former Laker who was the assistant to Golden State Warriors.

Utilizing the recent free agency, the Los Angeles Lakers took major steps to redesign their team structure, according to NBA Rumors. They went ahead and signed their own free agent Jordan Clarkson again. To further improve the roster, they also signed Luol Deng and Timofey Mozgov. The guard whom they signed is now one of the most important players in the team's roster.

Jordan Clarkson was considered a 'steal' after his impressive performance in his rookie year. He came out as the 'best pick' when he was given the opportunity to showcase his talent

Currently, Jordan Clarkson needs to work and improve his three-point shooting. He, however, displayed consistent improvement in his performance. Clarkson had an average of 31. 4 percent in his rookie season. In the last season he shot up to 34.7 percent.

NBA Trade Rumors say that the team is closely monitoring the way in which Clarkson is working on his defense. "When JC was off the floor, the Lakers allowed opponents an offensive rating of 107.9, which is awful in its own right. But, when Clarkson was in the game, that number ballooned to 113.8." Jeremy Bucker of Laker Show Life stated, reported Real GM.

Now that he is being closely monitored, the player will have to improve his defense. NBA trade rumors state that he is one who will be talked about in the next season and if he fails to address the issue concerning his defense, he might find himself out of the team, reported Sportsrageous.

Meanwhile, NBA trade rumors state that there are two teams who are keen on taking in Jordan Clarkson. They are the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers. Since the player is signed with the Lakers in free agency, the other teams have to wait until December to pursue him. This is the period during which Lakers will keep an eye on Clarkson and monitor his progress.
