‘Sherlock' Season 4 Air Date, News Update: Watching Benedict Cumberbatch BBC Series Makes A Viewer Attractive?

"Sherlock Season 4" will expectedly increase in fan base not only because of the hit tandem of Benedict Cumberbatch (as Sherlock Holmes) and Martin Freeman (as John Watson), but also because of a recent singles survey. The BBC "Sherlock" series easily beat out "Game Of Thrones" and "The Big Bang Theory" among the TV series that make romantically single viewers more attractive.

Radio Times cites a survey conducted by EliteSingles, which says that being a known viewer of the BBC "Sherlock" series makes romantically unattached persons more attractive to their fellow singles. Interestingly the series, which centers on the eccentric Sherlock Holmes easily won over top two romantic lure "The Big Bang Theory" and top three attractiveness aid "Game Of Thrones."

According to EliteSingles the survey, which declared the "Sherlock" series as a clear winner highlights that taste in TV shows do matter when selecting a dating partner. Just as interesting is how a larger percentage of the male respondents are likely to cuddle up for a TV date night on the "Sherlock" series than women.

Still, if what writer/producer Steven Moffat and writer/actor Mark Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes) have up their sleeves for "Sherlock Season 4" is anything to go by, then the Benedict Cumberbatch win in this survey is unsurprising. In interview with Collider, Steven Moffat revealed that all three episodes of "Sherlock Season 4" are adapted from the original Holmes tales by novelist Arthur Conan Doyle.

However, Steven Moffat warned that "Sherlock Season 4" viewers have to be alert in recognizing, which parts are adaptations and which ones are original to the Benedict Cumberbatch series. Steven Moffat further reveals that "Sherlock Season 4" is explicitly the darkest season that the BBC series has had by far.

The "Sherlock Season 4" premiere date is anticipated to fall within January 2017. Do you agree with the survey and think watching "Sherlock Season 4" will increase you attractiveness rate?
