‘Gears of War 4’ Latest News, Specs & Updates: Recommended And Ideal PC Specs For The Game Revealed

The latest installment in the fan-favorite third person shooter franchise, "Gears of War 4" is soon to be ready for players all around the world. Recently, Microsoft has revealed a gameplay teaser for the new "Gears of War," which featured a pretty solid and visually stunning game, but fans would need to have some pretty decent hardware to run it.

In the recent GamesCom event in Cologne, Germany where the new teaser for "Gears of War 4" was revealed, Microsoft also gave out a spec sheet for gamers in order for them to get the highest quality gaming experience, according to Cinemablend. Players need Windows 10 to play "Gears of War 4," and a core of at least i5, and if players want to get even better quality, upgrading to i7 is recommended. Also, an 8 GB RAM with 80 GB hard drive space is needed to launch the game.

"Gears of War 4" will run on the Unreal Engine 4, which Microsoft calls "comprehensive video settings" that increases resolution texture and supports the game's high-end visuals with 4K resolution, according to Techno Buffalo.

The latest game in the "Gears of War" series will be under a new development team, with "Gears of War 4" going even deeper in its storyline, according to Engadget. The game will have a new protagonist named J.D. Fenix, the son of long-time "Gears of War" hero, Marcus. J.D. and his two companions, Del and Kait, discover a new enemy that called "the Swarm," in a barren world left from the aftermath of the previous game.

Creative director of "Gears of War 4," Chuck Osieja, says they want to bring back the creepiness that made "Gears of War" fans fall in love with the first game. "The characters are experiencing the Swarm for the first time, so we wanted to create a tone that was in line with that," says Osieja.

Gamers can expect plenty of thrills and chills with "Gears of War 4," when it hits stores in October, 2016, available for PC and Xbox One.
