NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Improving Roster By Adding Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor Or Demarcus Cousins?

The current NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers is pressured to match the powerful roster of the Golden State Warriors. There are high chances that both teams will be up against each other again in the NBA finals. Thus, Cavs are working on improving their roster to have a back-to-back championship.

Parent Herald previously reported that Cleveland Cavaliers need to acquire Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor. Reports have it that LeBron James need big men to deliver another title to Cavs.

Well, NBA trade rumors suggest that Cleveland Cavaliers is working on it. They can't afford to have a weak roster because the super team Golden State Warriors is expected to return this NBA season with a powerful quartet.

LeBron James and the Cavs managed to score a championship against the GSW in the last NBA season. However, we know that it was not an easy win against Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and the rest of the Warriors. The face off in this upcoming season between the two teams will likely be harder for Cavs after Kevin Durant left OKC Thunder to join GSW.

In response to this, NBA trade rumors suggest that Cavs put Channing Frye and Iman Shumpert on the trading block to acquire a more powerful center. Per Inquistr, Cleveland Cavaliers could engage into a trade involving Washington Wizards' center Marcin Gortat or Philadelphia 76ers Jahlil Okafor.

Another option for the Cleveland Cavaliers is to trade for Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins and Kyrie Irving show a great tandem in the recently concluded Rio Olympics. If Cavs pursue Cousins, Boogie's transition to Cavs will be easier.

Also, seeing Kings letting go of DeMarcus Cousins is not unlikely. The team drafted three centers in the last NBA Drafts and Cousins' contract will be over in 2018. So, it is best for Sacramento Kings to trade Boogie to Cavs.

Reports also have it that Cavs should acquire Philadelphia 76ers Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor. These talents have been associated with Cavs this offseason but there is little to no progress about their arrangement.
