'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Spoilers: NO Delena Moments In 'TVD' Finale; Nina Dobrev Confirms Return As Katherine Pierce?

From the time Nina Dobrev left "The Vampire Diaries," the TV series was never the same. "TVD" went downward spiral and the CW finally decided to ax the series. To regain its honor, the production made bold moves to have Dobrev return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" is filled with controversies. According to reports, his ex-flame Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed are sabotaging her comeback. Somerhalder displays little to no enthusiasm in working with Dobrev. In fact, he wants a brotherly ending for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

The "The Vampire Diaries" production has successfully convinced Nina Dobrev to return in the series' last season. However, giving in to the crowd's request of featuring the Delena romance seems to be the harder task.

Most "TVD" fans would probably agree that Elena and Damon's romance is one of a kind. Their love story is one of the factors that deliver success to "The Vampire Diaries" series. Now that Nina Dobrev is finally back, fans have no other request but to close the Delena love story in the best way possible.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely for fans to see this. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev will return as Katherine Pierce and not as Elena Gilbert. Although most fans want Elena back, some are desperate to see Dobrev again in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 that they no longer care whether she returns as Elena or Katherine.

Another potential reason for having Nina Dobrev return as Katherine is Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's divorce. Per the reports, Reed doesn't want to see her husband in a love scene with Dobrev. She is ready to file a divorce if this happens.

Do you agree that Nikki Reed is making a fuss about Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8? Is it okay with you to have Dobrev return as Katherine and not as Elena? Are you giving up the Delena romance? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
