As "The Vampire Diaries" unfolds to its final season, fans have been clamoring to have Nina Dobrev back. There is no doubt that majority of the "TVD" fans want closure to Delena's romance.

However, it seems unlikely to see Damon and Elena again because according to Inquisitr, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed sabotage Nina Dobrev's return. The couple doesn't' want Somerhalder's ex in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

Morning News USA reported that Ian Somerhalder was asked if Nina Dobrev's is coming back in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 when they appeared in the San Diego Comic-Con. His response confirmed that he doesn't want to work with Dobrev anymore. "No, you're not gonna get 'em," Somerhalder told Julie Plec.

When Julie Plec explained that Nina Dobrev promised to return in the final season of "The Vampire Diaries" to wrap up Elena's story, Ian Somerhalder seemed to counter it. "I thought we had a conversation about that, apparently not," he told Plec. Parent Herald also reported that Somerhalder prefers a brotherly ending for the series, instead of highlighting Delena's romance.

There are rumors that Nikki Reed doesn't want Nina Dobrev to return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 . Parent Herald previously reported that Ian Somerhalder's wife is threatened with her husband and his ex's reunion. In fact, there are rumors that if Ian Somerhalder reunites with Dobrev in "TVD" Reed will divorce him.

Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has been a personal struggle for Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder. If both are professionals they would understand that the Delena romance is simply for the fans who wish for it.

While Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder remains unsupportive of Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Kat Graham shows otherwise. Graham is reluctant to answer the issue because she's not the right person to ask about it but the actress told Melty that she wants to work with Dobrev again for the final season of "The Vampire Diaries."

Parent Herald previously reported that Nina Dobrev is not coming back for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. The actress is busy with her upcoming action film, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."
