‘Final Fantasy XV’ Latest News Updates: ‘FFXV’ Won’t Be An Open World Title? Director Hajime Tabata Promises Not Boring Game Structure

Square Enix definitely know how to redeem itself after the not quite so good news last week in which "Final Fantasy" XV release date was pushed to a much later date of Nov. 29, 2016 from the initial Sept. 30 schedule. But diehard fans, together with self-confessed "FFXV" gamer and Miss Universe 2015 winner Pia Wurtzbach, have a good reason to patiently wait for the game's upcoming release as it was recently revealed that its entire game structure is quite interesting.

Known as one of the most anticipated game in recent years, "Final Fantasy XV" has been a long-overdue project. As a matter of fact, the game has been under development for 11 years and has even endured a series if reworks and drastic changes, not to mention undergoing several release delays, GameSpot revealed.

Even though "Final Fantasy XV" faced another delay in terms of release date, "FFXV" director Hajime Tabata promised fans that the upcoming game is worth the long wait. The reason? Tabata told Famitsu (by means of Siliconera) in an interview that the much-awaited JRPG won't be an open-world title completely, covering only 15 percent of the game's content.

Tabata also stressed that "Final Fantasy XV" game structure will be divided into two parts - the first consisting the open-world component while the second part will depict the linear elements and have an estimated game time of almost 40 to 50 hours. In that way, Tabata explained that "FFXV" gamers won't get bored or tired of playing the game as it becomes more focused and things get more excitingly interesting as the player advances to the game, Kotaku noted.

In addition, The Sun also suggested that "Final Fantasy XV" will be worth the wait as due to the impressively interesting character designs and photorealistic scale. Meanwhile, "FFXV" is set to be globally released on Nov. 26 for both PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

In other "Final Fantasy XV"-related news, rumors have it that the highly anticipated game sequel will be the last for the "FF" franchise. According to Chatt Sports Net, Tabata admitted that Square Enix has no plans in producing another trilogy or make more tales about Noctis since the team are personally satisfied to finally conclude the "FF" franchise.
